Students of Color in Nursing
The Student of Color in Nursing student-interest group aims to generate dialogue about professional development and leadership for self-identified students of color. This group provides opportunities for conversation around the following aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing:
- Facilitating professional development for SOC
- Learning different cultures
- Discussing challenges and triumphs that SOC face
- Learning about strategies for success and obtaining information about key organizations for SOC
- Facilitating strong collegial relationships between students and nurses of color
