Faculty work together closely through Google Apps for Education, virtual meetings and conference calls. Teaching is done using the CANVAS Learning Management system enhanced with conference calls, on-line chats, web conferencing, etc.

Frontier Nursing University (FNU) has the following Faculty positions available:

Regional Clinical Faculty for Midwifery and Women's Health NP (Ohio resident with Ohio CNM license) 


Regional Clinical Faculty (RCF) advises, supports, evaluates, and educates students. This is done through a variety of methodologies, including in person, over the phone, and in written documentation. The RCF also supports clinical preceptor faculty in keeping with the policies established by the program to ensure an effective clinical experience for the students. The RCF provides leadership in establishing relationships within the nurse-midwifery/ nurse-practitioner community to further the goal of increased access to clinical sites for Frontier Nursing University (FNU), and to ensure the larger goal of access to nurse-midwifery/nurse-practitioner care for an increasing number of families.


  • AMCB certified midwife
  • Doctoral degree required
  • Active in nurse-midwifery community
  • Three years of clinical practice experience and precepting students
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work productively and independently
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Available to travel on a regular basis    

 All positions, except the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, are a work from home with periodic required travel to Kentucky and/or clinical sites (RCF positions only).
