Military/Veterans in Nursing

The military/veteran’s student-interest group aims to generate dialogue about professional development and leadership for military/veteran nursing students. This group provides opportunities for conversation around the following aspects of military/veterans in the nursing profession:

  • Facilitating professional development for military/veterans in nursing
  • Discussing challenges and triumphs that military/veterans in nursing face
  • Learning about strategies for success and obtaining information about key organizations for military/veteran’s nurses
  • Facilitating strong collegial relationships between military/veterans nursing students, and other nurses in the discipline

Veteran and Military Affiliated Students of Frontier Nursing University is a Chapter of the National Student Veterans of America. This Special Interest Group at Frontier Nursing University is for all current students and Alumni affiliated with the military. This Student Interest Group is open to all currently serving on active duty, in the Guard or Reserves, as a veteran, or as a family member of a military member or veteran. We also welcome Allies who want to support MilVet students at FNU.
