The Frontier Nursing University’s Board of Directors, faculty & staff extend a sincere invitation to graduates and their family members for the Commencement Ceremony!
DATE: October 20, 2018
LOCATION: Richard M. Nixon Gym, 150 Wendover Rd., Hyden KY
Let the planning begin! In anticipation of your 2018 Commencement Ceremony, here is some important information.
Students are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony provided the following is complete no later than October 20:
Official submission of final grades for all required courses (no I or IP grades remain);
No outstanding financial balance.
All MSN and PGC students: Receipt of all end of clinical paperwork.
All CNEP Students: Proof of attendance for the required AABC workshop.
Students completing back-to-back programs at FNU are welcome to participate in both ceremonies or, if preferred, just once after the degree of their choosing.
If you will be eligible to walk and plan to attend the ceremony, please fill out this Commencement Ceremony Attendance form no later than October 1, 2018. Please note, due to the advance printing of the commencement program, students who do not fill out the attendance form prior to the October 1 deadline but who do qualify to participate (eligiblity listed above) will not have their names printed in the ceremony program.
All graduates are required to purchase their own regalia; the MSN outfit should include gown, hood, board cap, and tassel. The DNP outfit includes gown, hood & tam. DNP graduates have the option to purchase the Fine Quality regalia specially designed for FNU or a less expensive version. Jostens will be taking regalia orders from July 23 thru Sept.3, 2018. Cap, Gown & Hood Orders
Members of our Sigma Theta Tau chapter should order their cords directly from the STTI website. Personalized announcements, class rings, diploma frames and other memorabilia items are available now for purchase from Jostens. All graduates will receive an FNU pin. The “pinning” will take place at the end of the ceremony. Graduates who are unable to attend the ceremony will receive their pin via postal mail in the days following October 20, 2018.
More details regarding the ceremony, a letter from President Stone, video & pictures from past years, directions to the venue, and much more can be found on these webpages.
We will send each graduate a copy of a press release, announcing your graduation, which you can give to your local newspapers or other media. Expect it to be sent to you in late September.
