Walking Trail Map

FNU campus trail system consists of natural surface trails and related structures. The main trail will be a 5 kilometer (5K) loop with some connector tails. The Trail head will be located near the Welcome center parking lot. There are several sitting areas along the trail that feature benches and rock seating. The trail system features several points of interest such as creeks, ponds, blooming meadows, wooded tree canopy, spring house, a silo and lots of wildlife.

The trail has several types of surfaces (Gravel, dirt base, asphalt, wood bridges and mowed grass). Breakdown as follows:

1.5 kilometers (Red trail) of the trail is mostly in open meadows with a gravel surface with several bridge crossings.

.5 kilometers (White trail) of the trail is mostly in wooded areas with a dirt surface that has long and broad grade reversals and grade dips with a long wooded brige crossing.

3.0 kilometers (Gold Trail) on the former golf course will be a mixture of mowed paths and incorporating paved cart paths when possible.
