Back Nurse Practitioner, Weslaco, Texas

Holy Family Services, Inc. is seeking a nurse practitioner who is passionate about women’s healthcare and serving the community. We are a free-standing, non-profit women’s health clinic and birth center located in the Rio Grande Valley in the beautiful city of Weslaco, Texas. This can be a part-time or full-time position.

As part-time, you would serve as the lead provider of our mobile clinic, which would include a full day of field work on Wednesdays, in the mobile clinic, and one day of related administrative work. This option will be paid at an hourly rate.

The full-time position would include all of the above-outlined responsibilities as well as one to two days of in-clinic work tending to well-woman, gynecological, and prenatal appointments. This is a competitive salaried position with PTO. Both positions can include on-site housing and paid utilities.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed WHNP or FNP
  • Experience in women’s healthcare
  • Bilingual English/Spanish


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide pregnancy care including: prenatal and postpartum clinic appointments
  • Provide well-woman care and routine preventative care including: screenings, annual exams, contraceptive initiation and management, and risk assessments
  • Attend monthly all-staff meetings and chart reviews
  • Provide client-focused, evidence-based, and compassionate care that empowers clients to participate in their own healthcare
  • Appropriately assess client’s eligibility for birth center care
  • Work respectfully as part of our team of CNMs, RNs, birth assistants, office staff and
  • IBCLCs
