Certified Nurse Midwife - Experienced and New Grad Opportunities

Bella Vie Gentle Birth Center, located near Salem, Oregon, is seeking a passionate Nurse Midwife to join our esteemed CNM/ LDM boutique practice and freestanding birth center.

We specialize in holistic pregnancy care and water-birth, placing strong emphasis on evidence-based, family-centered, and relationship-based care. A deep appreciation for out-of-hospital, particularly the birth-center model of care, is essential. We seek to empower women and families as they journey through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. We also offer integrative gynecological and well women care.

This position is ideal for those who value the meaningful client connections and prefer the time and pace that allows for truly transformative midwifery care over a higher hospital salary that often necessitates juggling a larger patient load. Our midwives typically provide clinic care three days a week, with approximately six appointments per day lasting an hour, allowing ample time for charting. Primary call responsibilities are shared, accounting for approximately one-third to half of the time, based on individual preference. As a valued member of our team, you will not only bring your expertise as a skilled midwife, but also contribute to the overall operations of our intimate center.

We are open to considering midwives with diverse levels of experience and backgrounds, as we strive to find the perfect fit for our team. More experienced midwives will commence with a salary and per-birth rate determined by multiple factors. For new graduates, we offer a stipend during the training period, during which they will share care with a seasoned midwife before progressing to attending births independently and subsequently receiving a salary increase. New graduates may have a higher on-call commitment as they work diligently to gain valuable experience during their training period. We strongly prefer midwives who can commit to a minimum of three years with our practice.
