Tuition and fees payments- Paid directly to Frontier Nursing University
Book Stipend- Paid directly to the student
Monthly Housing Allowance (MHA for non-active duty members only) - Paid directly to the student
Eligibility Tier (aka percent level) - The eligibility tier is determined by the total amount of time served on active duty and can range from 50% to 100% in eligible educational benefits.

Example based on 50% tier
           $4,200 - term’s tuition/fees
            X 50% - percent tier
           $2,100 - term’s eligible VA benefits

Amount not covered by the VA- Any amount not covered by VA benefits is the responsibility of the student.

1. Financial Aid - If you choose to utilize financial aid to cover the portion not covered by the VA, begin the process by completing the required financial aid documents. Once documents are completed, notify Financial Aid Services at financialaid@frontier.edu Documents must be completed one week prior to your scheduled Frontier/DNP Bound date.
2. Self-pay - Payment is due by the term’s deadline (the first 15th of each term) and can be paid online through Self-Service.

(DEA-Dependents’ Educational Assistance)
All benefits are paid directly to the student. A term’s tuition/fee charges are due by the published deadline (the first 15th of each term).

1. Financial Aid - If you choose to utilize financial aid to cover your educational costs, begin the process by completing the required financial aid documents. Once documents are completed, notify Financial Aid Services at financialaid@frontier.edu. Documents must be completed one week prior to your scheduled Frontier/DNP Bound date.
2. Self-pay - Payment is due by the term’s deadline (the first 15th of each term) and can be paid online through Self-Service.

(Montgomery GI Bill® Active Duty) 
Benefits are paid directly to the student. A term’s tuition/fee charges are due by the published deadline (the first 15th of each term).

VR&E (Veteran Readiness & Employment program)
Tuition and fee benefits are paid directly to FNU. Students utilizing VR&E will work with the Bursar, Robin Smith (bursar@frontier.edu) for invoicing.
