Biography
Shaughanassee Vines, a Certified Nurse Midwife, is an alumnus of Old Dominion University where she earned both her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing. She received midwifery education at Shenandoah University and later earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Frontier Nursing University. Her clinical passions lie in public health, racial inequity and social determinants of health, as well as entrepreneurship. She serves as midwifery course faculty at Frontier Nursing University and as part of the research team for the THRIVE Study at University of California San Diego. She has spoken at a number of professional conferences and community events. Aside from her career, she has a loving family and serves within a number of community organizations.
