Biography
Dr. Barnes has been a nurse for over 25 years, a nursing educator since 2013 and have taught in psych mental health clinicals since 2015. Dr. Barnes has a passion for both promoting advance practice nursing and mental health. Dr. Barnes has worked in her current community for the majority of her nursing career, serving previously on a medical-surgical floor, dialysis unit, as a public health nurse, school nurse, nursing educator and providing medication management as a PMNHP in the geriatric population. Being that Dr. Barnes loves promoting education, you will often see her talking to nurses about their education possibilities and encouraging advance practice nursing. Her personal quote she like to live by is "Make your dreams your reality".
