Biography

Dr. Jeffrey Dobbins has been a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for 7 years. Dr. Dobbins has been on the medical staff at North Texas State Hospital – Maximum Security Unit since 2014 specializing in Forensic Psychiatry focusing on the intersection of mental health and the legal system. He also works one day a week at Helen Farabee Centers since 2015 providing outpatient mental health care to 19 rural Texas counties. Dr. Dobbins has a passion for teaching and has served as preceptor for students from Texas Tech University, University of Texas Arlington, Midwestern State University, Texas West A&M University, and Vanderbilt University. Dr. Dobbins has been married to his wife Erin for 17 years and they currently reside in Vernon, Texas. They have a 16-year-old daughter Madeline and an 11-year-old son Gavin.
