In 2012 Katrina earned her bachelors degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida. In 2015 she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and was accepted to Frontier Nursing University where she obtained her Master’s as a Certified Nurse Midwife in 2017. Katrina is a board member for Mind Body Baby NC, a non-profit organization that strives to educate and support women during the perinatal period. Katrina is also a member of the North Carolina ACNM Legislative Committee. She is a visionary with a passion for patient education, evidence-based practice, holistic care, empowered birthing, birth trauma, breastfeeding, and preventative medicine. The essence of her practice is based upon her belief that birth is intimate, momentous, and transformative, and how a woman navigates her birth establishes the roots from which she grows her family and interacts with the world around her. She is married to her college sweetheart, and enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs.
