Biography

Dr. Tanya Baca attended Frontier Nursing University, completing her Master’s as a Nurse Midwife in 2018 and is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University in 2020. She more recently completed the PMHNP program in April 2024. She has been in healthcare since the age of 16, first working as a CNA in geriatrics, then as an LPN in multiple specialties before becoming an RN and finding passion and a path in Women’s health, which then eventually led to the passion of Psychiatric mental health. However, her ultimate passion is for education and fostering new rising Nurse practitioners. Since January 2021, Dr. Baca has been an employee with Frontier Nursing University, first starting as a Clinical Faculty and transitioning to full-time Didactic Faculty. She is a member at large for the National PAC-ACNM. She aspires to help contribute to leading the anti-racism movement for Colleagues, students, and patients alike. Her long-term goals are to become a Course Coordinator at Frontier and obtain her CNE certification.
