Biography

Chaundel Presley APN, DNP, FNP-BC is an Assistant Professor in the Family Nursing department at FNU. She is a course coordinator for Role of the Nurse Practitioner course. She has been at FNU since 2007. Chaundel is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau, AANP, and ANA. She founder and leader of a local advanced practice organization in her hometown. She is active in her current state nurses association and is currently serving as district president. Chaundel has been an APRN since 1995. She has worked primarily in rural primary care. Her area of expertise is adult chronic disease management and rural practice issues. She has also worked in the emergency department setting as an APN. Chaundel earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Belmont University as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Indiana State University. Chaundel has volunteered for various committee work during her time at FNU. She has hosted numerous case days throughout her clinical region and online over the years. She has enjoyed building relationships with preceptors and having several former students who have now become preceptors themselves.
