Biography
My name is Dr. Mary Hunt Borganelli. I have a passion for learning, so it is no surprise that I am a “3-peat” FNU graduate. I was in CNEP class 32/5, CFNP class 56, and DNP class 6. I obtained my MSN from Case Western Reserve University while attending FNU as a CNEP student. My most recent certification is as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Cincinnati.
My teaching career started many years ago when I worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse striving to become a midwife. While advancing my education, I taught clinical practicums for Shawnee State University, Ohio University—Chillicothe, Belmont Technical College, and Ohio University—Zanesville. I have been teaching for FNU for over 12 years, first as a Regional Clinical Faculty and then as course Faculty in PC 617 and PC 701. I have also been a clinical-bound team leader in the FNP and PMHNP programs. My passion for learning is exceeded only by my passion for helping others learn.
For fun I like to read, crochet, participate in 5K walks, compete in triathlons, ride multi-day bike rides, and learn something new every day! My husband, four grown children, and six grandchildren are my life and support.
I am excited to be working with you and helping you achieve your dream of becoming a midwife or nurse practitioner. If I can help you in any way, I am merely a phone call or email away!
Warm Regards,
Dr. Mary Hunt Borganelli, DNP, CNM, FNP-BC, ENP-BC, PMHNP-BC
