Biography
Dr. Kelly Wilhite is an assistant professor for midwifery and women's health at Frontier Nursing University. She currently teaches postpartum/newborn and health promotion and has also taught in antepartum and complex childbearing in her four years as professor at Frontier.
Dr. Wilhite has presented at the American College of Nurse-Midwives annual meeting during the last three years as part of their AMCB exam review panel. She also presented her research on skin-to-skin contact in 2013.
Dr. Wilhite was an active duty certified nurse-midwife for the United States Air Force from 2001-2013. She served in full-scope care in the United States and abroad. She also served a tour in Afghanistan and separated with the rank of Major.
Dr. Wilhite earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Frontier Nursing University with DNP class 4. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Shenandoah University and Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Arizona.
