Biography
Dr. Rebecca Fay received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2013 at Frontier Nursing University. She joined Frontier Nursing University as part-time course faculty in 2015. Rebecca earned her Certificate in Midwifery from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, a Post-Master’s Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Frontier Nursing University, and a Post Master’s Nurse Educator Certificate from Excelsior College. Rebecca practiced as a full-scope midwife in the Boston, MA area for 20 years. During that time, she attended approximately 1800 hospital births. As a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), Rebecca is dedicated to educating the next generation of nurse-midwives and nurse practitioners. She lives in Southwest Missouri with her husband of 47 years. Rebecca was instrumental in developing the operation of the Arkansas Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). She is the immediate past president of the Arkansas affiliate. Rebecca served on the ACNM Government Affairs Committee (GAC), the Membership and Marketing Committee, and currently serves on the Affiliate Development & Support Committee and the Continuing Education Committee. She is a Fellow in the American College of Nurse-Midwives and serves as the Region IV Fellows Governor. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and knitting.
