Biography

Azra Alomerovic, DNP APRN FNP-C CNE holds a Doctorate degree from Frontier Nursing University since March 2015. Dr. Alomerovic has been a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Academic Honor Society since 2006, The Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse-Midwives since 2008, and The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners since January 2009. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2009, working in Employee Health Clinics as a primary care provider and retail health in Louisville, KY. Dr. Alomerovic has been a nurse for 19 years including 12 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Alomerovic received PMHNP-BC from FNU in July 2021. Her recent presentation on “Perception of Weight Status among Adults across Weight Spectrum: A Field Study,” took place at Doctor of Nursing Practice Annual Conference where she presented her capstone project. Dr. Alomerovic received Certified Nuese Educator certification in November 2019. Her love for evidence-based and clinical practice as a family nurse practitioner-led her to the position of Clinical Bound Faculty and Course Faculty at FNU in September 2015. Dr. Alomerovic lives in Jeffersontown, KY, where she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family.
