Biography

Dr. Heather Wilkinson is an Adult Gero Acute Care, ER & Family Nurse Practitioner. Her nursing background includes CVICU, OR, Open Heart Recovery/Transplant, Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Medical Device Sales, Manager of Cardiac Catheterization Lab/Interventional Radiology, and Adjunct Faculty Indiana Wesleyan in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Dr. Wilkinson received her BSN from Mount Carmel College of Nursing, MSN from Indiana Wesleyan University, and her DNP from Frontier Nursing University. She also received her post-master certificate for AG-ACNP from Maryville University. Her scholarly interests are improving access to rural healthcare and full practice authority for Advanced Practice Nurses. Dr. Wilkinson previously worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department for TeamHelath, Emcare, and QESI Trihealth Hospitals in Cincinnati, Ohio. Now she works in inpatient cardiology for Trihealth Hospitals.
