Biography

I graduated as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1991 from Georgia Southern University and my doctoral degree in health promotion from the University of Kentucky in 2010. Since becoming and FNP I have had the opportunity to practice in Georgia, Arkansas, Hawaii, Missouri, Michigan and Kentucky which is where I currently reside. I have been a nursing faculty member for the past 18 years, teaching at every level of nursing education ADN, BSN,MSN and DNP. I have been with Frontier University since Fall 2016 as a Regional clinical Faculty member. I also work 3 days a week as a family nurse practitioner in a community heath center. I really enjoy being able to work at a University that allows me to do the two professional things that I am passionate about, providing patient care and educating future Nurse Practitioners. I live in Richmond Kentucky with my husband, Chris and 3 teenage children, Ed, Ben and Lily. We have a small hobby farm with hogs, horses, cows, chickens, cats and dogs. As a family we enjoy anything that has to do with the outdoors, boating, camping, hiking and gardening.
