Biography

Jamie began her nursing career as an emergency department nurse. After working as a childbirth educator and doula serving mostly adolescents she enrolled in the CNEP program at Frontier. She graduated from Frontier in 2015 and worked full-time as a full-scope nurse-midwife for the next 3 years. Jamie returned to Frontier as a regional clinical faculty in 2018 and will begin Frontier's DNP program in 2019. Professionally, she is fond of public speaking. She has used her experience in critical care and her background in women’s health to design a CEU course for emergency department staff. Her goal is early recognition and intervention for women presenting to the emergency department with signs of postpartum preeclampsia (often confused with a tired and overwhelmed!) In her free time she enjoy spending time with her children, fitness and traveling.
