Boise VA Medical Center Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Residency

We have a robust, accredited residency program, established in 2012, to support new NP graduates in the first year of practice and to add depth to their postgraduate inter-professional training.

We have two confirmed residents for the upcoming academic year, with a space for one more starting August 2024. Then we will have addition 3 or even 4 spaces for the following academic year starting August 2025. The residency is a paid 1-year program. Residents are responsible for a panel of approximately 180 primary care patients at the main Boise VA campus, with rotations in a number of specialties including cardiology, neurology, nephrology, geriatrics, oncology and more.
