JOB SUMMARY:
- Provide personal care, supervision, companionship, and support to intelligent but movement-limited individual throughout the night. Assist with any movement or personal needs of client during the night. Supervise closely in case of a medical emergency during the night. Give support to family members in terms of keeping them updated on their loved one’s health and well-being and providing answers to any questions they may have.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety monitoring & assisting client through the night
- Transitioning assistance
- Gait belt experience
- Toileting and continence assistance
- Client engagement
- Medication reminders
- Dressing assistance
- Laundry, emptying garbage, and other tasks as assigned
- Helping with the routines of everyday life and providing basic companionship and moral support
- Assisting client with ambulation and mobility around the house
- Assisting client with personal care and hygiene
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
QUALFICATIONS:
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
- RN or LVN preferred
- Enthusiastic reader with intellectual curiosity preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally walk, stand and climb stairs, bend, and reach.
PROPER ATTIRE:
- Comfort and practicality are key. Casual, yet professional attire such as polo shirts, comfortable slacks or scrubs can be suitable.
