Our beautiful Tender Gifts Birth & Wellness Center has been offering exceptional birth services in Fort Collins, CO, and surrounding areas for over the past 10 years. We are excited to be growing and expanding to a wellness center that also includes a Family Nurse Practitioner! POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeing a dynamic CNM, CPM, CM or offering a Fellowship opportunity for our community birth centers. Ideal candidate would be an excellent communicator with the ability to professionally represent the Birth Center in community birth and hospital settings. Looking for someone with a focus on providing high-quality, evidence-based care for women and families. This is an in person, on-call position; we have both part time, and full-time employment opportunities available.
New CNM/CPM/CM graduates are welcome to apply for a fellowship opportunity!


Job Type: Full-time & Part-time | Prefer 3+ days a week
CNM Salary: $85,000 - $100,000/annually dependent on experience
CPM Salary: $80,000 - $90,000/annually depending on experience
CM Salary: $85,000 - $100,000/annually dependent on experience
Fellowship Salary: $65,000 - $75,000/annually

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

  • Have experience in an out of hospital birth environment that encompasses promoting physiologic birth (though not required).
  • Exhibit a knowledge base of the work environment and the laws regulating Colorado midwives, nurses and birth centers.
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to professionally represent the Birth Center in community birth and hospital settings.
  • Focus on providing high-quality, evidence-based care for women and families.
  • Have a vision for community projects, while being self-directed, comfortable with independent practice, and the ability to guide Birth Center team members toward optimal service outcomes.
  • Have basic obstetric and gynecologic skills.
  • Be open to and have a basic knowledge of alternative and holistic modalities of care and providers.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILIES

  • Maintain quality, optimal patient care.
  • Plans, implements and evaluates patient care plans.
  • Provides care in the context of promoting age and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision-making and the right to self-determination.
  • Participates in clinic and on-call CNM/CM performing antepartum, intrapartum, birth, postpartum, newborn, well-woman care along with problem focused visits the schedule may permit.
  • Attend staff meetings, training and education sessions as required or directed by the Department of Colorado Regulatory Agency and Governing Body.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3+ years of experience (birth center experience a plus!) New graduates encouraged to apply!
  • Current or ability to obtain licensure as a CNM/CPM/CM in Colorado (required)
  • Current or ability to obtain RN & APRN licensure in Colorado (required for CNM only)
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (required for CNM only)
  • Master's Degree or Higher from a Midwifery Program Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (required for CM only)
  • Current or ability to obtain Colorado Prescriptive Authority
  • Current or ability to obtain national certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) (required for CM only)
  • Current NP, BLS and NRP Certifications
  • Labor & Delivery

  • The CNM, CPM or CM will uphold moral and ethical standards of Tender Gifts Birth & Wellness Center. Abuse of alcohol, prescription drugs, recreational drugs, tobacco use or electronic cigarette use on the premises will not be tolerated and provides grounds for immediate termination of the contract of services.
