Information Re: WHCNP Completion Option

We value the role of Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioners (WHCNP) as a separate profession from midwifery. As a CNEP graduate, if you are considering adding FNU’s WHCNP certification, we encourage you to apply for the post-graduate WHCNP certification.

CNEP graduates who desire to add the WHCNP post-graduate certificate at this time will be applying for our WHCNP post-graduate certificate completion program. The CNEP/WH Department Chair determines an individual program of study (the completion option) based on your prior education and experience. The current WHCNP completion option for CNEP graduates will close at the end of the Fall Term of 2023. If you are interested in getting your WHCNP PGC in the completion program, you must apply by June 28, 2023, which is the deadline for our Fall 2023 Term. After this deadline, you can apply for our standard 33-credit hour WHCNP PGC program. This change is necessary to comply with our accreditation guidelines and to allow for dual licensure in all 50 States.
